Bamber Forsyth - Go for the same but different Bamber Forsyth has been a Magpie client for over 12 years. Their expertise is in brand creation and communication. Part of the Cordiant Communication Group, they provide solutions for some of the world's leading companies. Bamber Forsyth had been expanding for a number of years and Magpie had been helping them with the ever-increasing problem of shoe-horning more people in to the same space. Relief came in the shape of the ground floor of their existing building. This gave them the opportunity to create a new reception and large ground floor, open plan office. Barbara Zhang from Bamber Forsyth worked closely with the architect, stripping back the original 18th century building to its core elements and installing the basics of heat, light, data and power to create a truly outstanding working environment. |

| Having used the Magpie Classic range for many years it had become a little too familiar and it was initially discounted for this new area. "We were very happy with the Classic range and it had served us well for many years but we had just got used to it" commented Barbara. However Magpie then showed them the Classic range in new and contemporary finishes and they had no second thoughts. |   |

Bamber Forsyth had created a high design solution and wanted something contemporary to complement this new environment. Magpie worked closely Bamber Forsyth and the architects on the project to get the space planning exactly right to maximize the use of the space. CGI - Grow next door CGI, part of the Havas Group, has been a Magpie client for more than 15 years. We have grown with the company as it has become a major international corporate branding and corporate report specialist. CGI had experienced enormous growth and were bursting out of the Covent Garden base head office. They considered moving but really wanted to stay in their central location. As luck would have it a building became available next door and after some protracted negotiations they managed to secure the space. |

| This gave CGI an opportunity to reconfigure the entire office environment. When CGI first bought the Magpie Classic range most designers Drawing boards and required a large layout space but obviously time had moved on. So Dorcas Gordon, CGI Office Manager, in conjunction with Magpie, set about redesigning the existing workstations and adding substantially more to the headcount. |   |

Large rectangular layout tables were converted to large corner workstations by the addition of a simple extension. Any items that were showing signs of their 15-year life were refurbished and new workstations were added. Magpie and CGI then embarked on a 3-month design and specification exercise that involved relocating most staff in the building. One of the existing floors had been furnished with a competitor's product some years ago. This was chosen at the time because of tight budgets but it just did not last and CGI were happy to replace it with their standard Magpie Classic.
